1Preheat oven to 200°C (390°F).
2Season chicken with salt, pepper, and paprika.
3Layer the tray: Spread chickpeas on the baking tray/dish. Place the seasoned chicken pieces on top.
4Tuck chorizo slices, lemon slices, and smashed garlic between the chicken pieces so the flavor spreads through the tray.
5Add chicken cube + water or chicken stock .Crumble/sprinkle the chicken cube on top of the chicken. Pour ¾ cup water into the tray around the chickpeas (so it creates a little sauce at the bottom).
6Drizzle 2 tbsp olive oil over the chicken and toppings.
7Cover tightly with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
8Remove foil and bake 10–15 minutes more, until chicken is fully cooked and lightly browned.
