1Sauté bawang, sibuyas, and luya in langis until fragrant, mga 1 minute lang. Don't burn it, ha! Ang pangit naman.
2Add sili and cook for another minute. Careful now, baka mapaso ka sa anghang!
3Put in the isda and cook until lightly browned on both sides. Wag masyadong matagal, baka maging tuyo!
4Pour in gata, patis, asin, and paminta. Simmer until the sauce thickens and the isda is cooked through, around 15-20 minutes. Check for seasoning, bes!
5Serve hot with steamed rice. Perfect with a side of atchara (pickled papaya) for that extra zing!
Para mas flavorful, you can marinate the isda in patis and a pinch of pepper for 30 minutes before cooking. Charot! Pero seriously, it enhances the taste!
