1Marinate the beef: In a large bowl, combine the sliced beef, soy sauce, calamansi juice, onions, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or even better, overnight in the ref. Para mas malasa, girl!
2Heat the cooking oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated beef. Don’t overcrowd the pan, ha! Do it in batches para even ang luto.
3Cook the beef until browned and tender, about 5-7 minutes per batch. Don’t overcook it, ha! Baka maging rubbery.
4Serve hot with steamed rice. Perfect with a side of atsara (pickled papaya)! Sarap!
For extra flavor, add a little bit of sugar. Just a pinch, ha! And bes, don’t forget to slice the beef thinly against the grain. Para super tender!
